5 Boonville swimmers advanced to state and 2 Boonville divers advanced to regionals at the boys sectional meet on Monday night. The Pioneers finished 3rd as a team. The 200 medley relay team of Blaine Hinton, Lane Pollock, Luke Pryor and Braden Rollins won 1st place, advanced to state and broke the school record. The 400 free relay team of Rollins, Hinton, Pryor and Owen Phillips also won the sectional title, advancing to state. Senior Braden Rollins won the 50 and 100 free, advancing to state in both and breaking the sectional and pool record in the 50. Junior Blaine Hinton won the 100 butterfly and will swim that event at state. Levi McKinney won diving and Lane Pollock came in 2nd. They will both compete in regionals Tuesday night.

Other sectional finalists included Kyle Denk, Landon Wilder, Olan Carter, Zander Lacer, Spencer ” Speedy” Bass, Kaleb Taylor, and Max Chapman. The boys will travel to the state meet for prelims on Friday. Way to go Pioneers. Great team effort!
